DR SABINE DAUME

MANAGING DIRECTOR

Dr Sabine Daume is the Managing Director of bio.inspecta Pty Ltd, Centre for Seafood Certification and is responsible for overseeing the bio.inspecta seafood team. Sabine is a certified lead auditor under the ISO 9001:2008 standard and is an MSC Principle 2 expert. Sabine has undertaken numerous MSC assessments across the globe including Australia, the U.S.A., Canada, Mexico and Japan. Sabine is also an experienced Aquaculture Stewardship Council (ASC) assessor having led the first ASC full assessment audit in Australia under the ASC Salmon Standard in 2014.

Sabine has over 25 years of experience working with the fishing and aquaculture industries specialising in the biology and ecology of exploited marine resources. Sabine holds a PhD in Marine Biology and a Master of Science in Marine Biology and Marine Chemistry from Germany. She has published extensively in leading peer-reviewed journals, book chapters and international conference papers. Her breadth of experience covers small-scale and multi-species fisheries, several large and controversial assessments and she has worked with both Commonwealth and state-managed fisheries.
